Biography

Jos Cole is a graduate in Saxophone and Composition from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, where he studied with partial scholarship funding. A professional saxophonist, composer/arranger, and educator, Jos has built a multifaceted career that blends performance, creativity, and teaching across a wide range of musical genres, including classical, jazz, and pop.

Having discovered the saxophone at the age of 12, Jos has since developed a deep passion for music, further expanding his instrumental skills to include the guitar and flute. With a strong foundation in classical music alongside expertise in jazz and pop, he is a versatile musician who tailors his artistry to suit any occasion. Jos is an established performer in the wedding and events industry, known for delivering captivating performances that resonate with diverse audiences.

As a composer, Jos specialises in contemporary classical and film music, with a particular focus on writing for the saxophone. His compositions explore innovative textures and emotional depth, showcasing the expressive potential of the saxophone across solo, chamber, and ensemble settings. His work demonstrates a deep understanding of both the technical and lyrical qualities of the instrument, earning him recognition among performers and audiences alike.

In addition to performing and composing, Jos is a dedicated educator. He offers lessons in saxophone, flute, guitar, composition, arrangement, and songwriting, as well as training in music software such as Sibelius and Logic.
